Hunnan District, Shenyang

Masterplan for Hunnan District, a new development for 500.000 residents, based on Green City principles. In cooperation with urban planners from Urhahn Urban Design and BELW Advice with knowledge from Wageningen University we made a proposal for this new residential area. We integrated the existing green and the structure of the villages in the design and by adding a new layer of green.  This way a truly green neighbourhood was created, with 26% green. Based on the walking distances we designed a green structure from pocket parks to regional parks.
