First prize competition Pudong Countryside Park!

Niek Roozen Landscape Architects has won the competition for the 3400-hectare Heqing Countryside Park in Pudong, Shanghai. In collaboration with Allynita, we made the strategic design ‘Nature by the Sea’ under the supervision of Judith van der Poel from Niek Roozen Landscape.  The scenic seaside park combines sports and leisure industry, high-end events and business. The plan introduces a new type of landscape to the existing landscape. This new area of woods and lakes connects the agriculture area to the large-scale recreational coastal zone. A sophisticated water structure connects the scenic landscape zones and different functions in the area.
